Music Exam Update:

Last month, we had two more exam days at St Faith’s with 27 children having a chance to impress the examiner!  We even had four children taking two exams, one on each day!

The exams are run by the ABRSM – Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Some of the children took the Prep Test which is an introduction to more formal exams with no chance of not passing.  Children taking Grades 1 to 5 had to prepare pieces or songs, perform scales and arpeggios, take a sight-reading test and answer aural test questions.

The children’s results are listed below – special mention to Amara and Mya who both took Grade 5 singing and both passed with distinction.

Thank you to all the children’s teachers, Mr Woodhead who accompanied some of the children on the piano, parents for helping with practice and of course the children themselves!
