Our PTA, the Friends of St Faith’s is a group of parents and teachers who work together to enhance school life through social events and fundraising.
We meet regularly throughout the school year to plan fun activities such as the summer and Christmas fairs and the annual firework extravaganza.
Through these events, and others, we raise money for small and large activities and equipment. In recent years the Friends has paid for new musical instruments and the stunning new outdoor classroom, which was opened at the end of the summer term this year (2017). We are currently raising funds for new playtime equipment and you can check out how we are doing with the target measure at the entrance to the playground.
We also hold purely social events for parents and grandparents – with no agenda or fundraising. These include nights in the pub and coffee mornings as well as a yearly wine and wisdom evening.
The Friends is a great chance to meet other parents across all the year groups and to get involved in making St Faith’s an even better place for our children. You don’t have to join the committee to be involved, although new members are always welcome. Ways to get involved include offering your time for a couple of hours to help run a stall at one of our events or becoming a class representative.
We also welcome new thoughts and ideas on fundraising activity and events, putting the fun into fundraising!
A great way to support the Friends is to join the 100 Club, a monthly prize draw where one half of the pot goes to great causes the Friends are raising money for and the other half to lucky winners. The prize pot grows the more people join, with fantastic odds! Details of how to get involved can be found on the 100 club web link, or simply ask us or a member of the Friends for more information.
Information on all future PTA meeting dates and planned activities are posted on the noticeboard near the sport fixtures, or please e-mail one of us at: Victoria.Crocker@stfaithsprep.com or email@example.com.
We look forward to meeting you.
