Year 5 set the bar high with their first Art project this term.
In their first lesson they began to showcase their amazing paint blending skills using watercolours to mix a variety of tones and colours. Moving on, lesson 2 allowed them to get creative and develop their pattern work inspired by Zentagle drawings.
The children learnt about the meaning of the Yin Yang symbol, Yin and Yang mean literally the “dark side” and the “sunny side” of a hill. In Chinese and much other Eastern thought, they represent the opposites of which the world is thought to be composed.
The combined results are these fantastic Yin Yang Zentangles, now proudly on display in our new STEAM room.
Great work Year 5!
