Global Citizenship and Languages.

During our fabulous STEAM day last week, (where many cross-curricular activities took place) the whole school also managed to learn some basic Spanish. Who would have thought thinking about Windpower Projects in Peru would culminate in an impressive ‘Round’ during our final assembly?

This week, Year 1 also loved hearing about the French family tradition of ‘La Fete des Rois’, where everyone eats a slice of delicious Galette (cake) on the 6^th January (Epiphanie!). Whoever finds the lucky charm is King or Queen for the day and is allowed to be pampered and spoilt. Unfortunately Madame Stokes had already eaten the original cake and the children were not overly impressed by their cardboard replacement… quel dommage !
