Art in the Upper School

The sun may now be shining (well sometimes), but no one has told the ‘Animals in Jumpers’! The new exhibition in the STEAM room showcases weeks’ worth of sketching, designing, refining and painting the most quirky and characterful bunch of animal portraits. Inspired by talented Australian artist, Britty Em, our very own budding artists have put their own spin onto this latest project with stunning results. Headteacher’s Awards to follow!

Meanwhile, Year 6 are embracing the summer of love hippy vibe. After testing out a variety of tie-dye techniques they are all set to become fashion designers ready to glam up some plain white t-shirts. New York, Paris and Milan will have nothing on St Faith’s catwalk fashion show next term where these fashionistas will be modelling the latest style in summer hippy chic.

Following on from Katherine Mitchell’s Royal Academy success, work has now begun on collating work for the 2022 ISA Art Competition, this year being held at West Lodge School in Siddcup. With so much high-quality work to choose from we are surely set for further successes before the end of this academic year is finished.
