Ski Serre Chevalier Day 6

We really have been very lucky. The weather remains sunny, snow conditions are spectacular and the instructors have been popular with the children. The beginner group took poles with them today for the first time, they also enjoyed the jumps at the snow park. The intermediate skiers, skied the reds and a black run, and the more experienced were fully challenged on both red and black runs and also experienced some off-piste skiing. I am not saying anything about Mr Dunn who was persuaded to ski with the more experienced of our skiers and took more than a few tumbles.

Tonight, after supper, we walked with the children to the village. It was an opportunity to practice their French whilst they shopped for souvenirs and gifts to bring home. After a good look around Serre Chevalier, some thoughtful items purchased, we marched back to a café on the lower slopes for some hot chocolate, in some cases with lots of cream.

It’s story time now and here I leave you…we want the children up bright and breezy for our last day of skiing tomorrow.

Bon Nuit!
