Serre Chevalier

Serre Chevalier – Day 2

Sunday 24 March

Our first day of skiing today was a corker, the sun was out and conditions were good. Even though it was a little warmer than expected, there is still plenty of snow. Almost all the runs are open and well groomed. The children met their new ski instructors, Matilda, Emily and David. I’m happy to report that the children, after being sorted into ski ability groups, were very happy with their instructors. As Thomas said, “Matilda is really kind and I think my skiing has really improved today” and that is just after 4 hours of skiing.

They are all having a lovely time, the weather is super and predicted to stay sunny for the rest of the week, but a tad colder. Hopefully, this will provide us with perfect conditions for the rest of our ski trip.

Tonight is games night, which they have thrown themselves into with gusto. Where do they get their energy from? They’ve had a little spend on house treats, such as milkshakes and sweets. Unfortunately, as the internet connection is poor tonight, I cannot update you with the latest photos, but no doubt that will improve and we will get them to you tomorrow.

Mrs Coombs, myself and Mr Dunn are hoping their energy is infectious, certainly their laughter is.
