U11 ISA Football Tournament at Virgo Fidelis School
This is the tournament that the boys look forward to the most. The ISA Tournament at Virgo Fidelis School, and after a long trip on the bus the children were excited to get going. With the rules being slightly different to what they normally play the team took a little while to adjust. However, they put in a very respectable performance with Eliot and Toby forming a good partnership. They won 3, drew 2 and lost 2 matches and were agonisingly close to qualifying for the semi-final stage but didn’t quite make it. Great effort boys!
U11AB Girls’ Football vs Wingham Primary
On a chilly Friday afternoon, the U11 girls hosted Wingham Primary for their next Dover and Deal League match. The 1st team played well to win 2-0 and remain top of the league. The Development team also got an opportunity to play and had a tight contest that ended 0-0. Players of the match went to Olivia Bywater and Judy Elanwar.

U11ABC Football Tournament at Spring Grove
The final Football tournament of this year for the girls was a trip to Spring Grove to compete in this annual event. The girls won the tournament last year and were determined to bring the trophy back to St Faith’s. Three teams were entered into the tournament which meant lots of girls had the opportunity to play and compete for their school. All the teams were in different groups so there was not the opportunity for a St Faith’s vs St Faith’s contest this year. The 3rd team consisted of many girls playing their first game this year and despite being a little chilly, they gave their best but did not qualify from the group. The Development team were in a tough group with the A teams from other schools. However, they also played well to win a game but not enough to qualify from the group for the semi-finals. The 1st team did manage to qualify for the semi-finals and had a very nervous contest that they manage to win on penalties. They were then in the final against hosts Spring Grove. Georgina D scored the only goal of the match as we won to retain the trophy. Well done girls!

U9 Girls’ Hockey Tournament at Junior King’s Canterbury
Today the U9 girls travelled to Junior King’s Canterbury for the final Hockey fixture of this year. The biggest and best Hockey playing schools in the area were present so the standard was extremely high. The girls have been improving with every match they have played this year. They played well again and with real determination. However, their results, drawing 1 and losing 2 of the group matches meant they did not qualify for the semi-finals this year. Player of the day went to Romy Todd. Good effort girls!
Next week the U11 team have the exciting prospect of a Basketball Tournament at Goodwin Academy. The boys play their final Football match of the year and the girls have their final Hockey matches at St Lawrence College. Good luck to all.
