The Day the Crayons Quit

One day in class Duncan went to take out his crayons and found a stack of letters with his name on them….
On a colourful Wednesday morning Reception children continued to tell the story of The Day the Crayons Quit by transforming themselves into a box of crayons who learn to work together.
As the curtains opened Year 5 were astounded to see their very own Mr Andrews playing the part of Duncan (something that we have kept hidden under our St Faith’s caps for the past few weeks!).
Our assembly ended with the following poem:

We are a box of crayons,
All of us unique,
But when we get together,
The picture is complete.

If you are not familiar with the story which is written by Drew Daywalt we would highly recommend it. Amber said “My favourite crayon was the green one because it colours trees and frogs!”
