Started Music at St Faith’s

A few weeks ago, Arabella achieved a distinction in Grade 7 Musical Theatre – something never before achieved at St Faith’s. During her time at our school, she has been a regular feature on exam timetables with Grade 5s in clarinet, piano, theory and singing, to go with her brilliant Grade 7 in Musical Theatre. She is certainly an ‘old hand’ when it comes to taking, and passing, examinations!

Additionally, Arabella played clarinet to begin the 2020 Speech Day and also sang beautifully, she performed in the Thanet Festival and at a concert in the Astor Theatre, Deal earlier this year. She also has a wealth of experience in school concerts and assemblies and was certainly a ‘go to performer’ while a pupil at St Faith’s. Someone who could be relied upon to perform extremely well, and sometimes at very short notice.

Arabella has been a stalwart supporter of Recorder Club, Chamber Choir, Choir, Singing Club and Orchestra, picking up a vast amount of ensemble experience along the way and taking part in the Kent Music Summer School at Benenden School. She has also represented the school in ISA (Independent Schools Association) young soloist and musical theatre competitions.

During her last few months at St Faith’s, she was trying to decide which school to attend after Year 6. She had her heart set on St Edmund’s and was awarded a Music Scholarship to go there, starting this month. Arabella has bags of talent and lots of potential to continue to succeed, and surpass what she has achieved by the age of 11. I am sure that she will go from strength to strength at St Ed’s and will become an even better musician in the next few years.

Yet another pupil who started Music at St Faith’s. Bravo, Arabella!
