St Faith’s World Book Day
On Friday, we enjoyed our very own St Faith’s World Book Day! With staff and children alike all dressed to the nines as their favourite fictional characters, it was, as always, a day for all of our St Faith’s family to enter the world of make believe and character.
This year we were lucky enough to be visited by a team of talented musicians who brought literature to life via the medium of music. They explored the well known world of Willy the Wimp and other well known stories by Anthony Browne in a variety of workshops targeted at the various Year Groups, and incorporating all the children, some on instruments they already play – others on percussion, kazoos and more. The children really embraced this magical, immersive, multisensory experience and enjoyed every second of this learning experience that became truly collaborative with a finale in which every child was engaged and entranced.
World Book Day is also a chance to share stories with others, and our older children downed their pens and Surface Gos to become the story tellers to the younger members of our school community.
What a wonderful start to our Wellbeing Week!
