Photography Exhibition
Last week, we held our inaugural Photography Exhibition, showcasing the talented submissions we received for our School Photography Competition. Children from Years R to 6 entered photographs they had taken on the theme of ‘colour’, and it made for an uplifting and incredibly artistic display of over 70 pieces of work.
Kerruish Hall was transformed into a sophisticated, cosmopolitan gallery (well, we lowered the blinds, laid on some snacks and popped some jazz music on), and it was wonderful to see so many children and their families come along to support the event.
We were delighted to have Guest Judge Richard Taylor-Jones join us to select the winners in each year group. Richard is one of the UK’s best known wildlife cameramen, and features regularly on The One Show, Springwatch & Countryfile.
Selecting the winners was a tough task, but eventually Richard whittled it down to a 1st place, a runner-up and a highly commended in each Year group.
Congratulations to all our entrants, your creativity was inspiring!
