This week we have all been involved in a major marathon of pond filling. Like an army of worker ants the children have committed themselves to filling and carrying water receptacles down to fill the pond. We were hoping that it might have filled up through natural processes but due to the East Kent micro climate of sun and hot weather this has not been possible. The children have been impressive with their efforts and toiled away in their free time to complete our goal. The pond measures an impressive eight by five with a depth measured by our Nature Garden prefect Rafi of 50cm. May I take this opportunity to thank Dennis and Marion Blaxland for allowing us to do the final 20cm (gallons by the way) from their garden tap, negating another two days graft for the children.
