The S and A in STEAM have joined forces to bring you an excellent cross-curricular project for you take part in. The Nancy Rothwell Award, which celebrates specimen drawing has been launched for 2020. The award promotes the benefits of combining Art and Science to produce detailed specimen drawings. Last week Year 4 sharpened their pencils and artistic eye to produce the amazing sketches that you can see below. Specimen drawing encourages you to really draw what you can see in front of you in fine detail. If you are between the ages of 7 -11 years old you can also take part in the event. Have a look at the website below (with the help of your parents) to find out how you to can take part! The grand prize is a day with the Artist in Residence at the Royal Veterinary College – a great prize for any animal lover! Happy drawing!
