Miss Arman’s Netball season report.

WOW – what can I say, it has been a marvellous netball season for St Faith’s this term.

Within the Upper School Netball lessons the girls have covered a range of different skills and challenges which has allowed each player to develop a clearer understanding about the rules and positions within the game. Every girl from Years 3-6 have had the chance to represent their school on an exciting netball fixture which they have all thoroughly enjoyed, of course the match teas have been the main highlight. The girls have shown outstanding enthusiasm across the whole season, and we are proud of the progression that they have all gained.

The U9s have had an unforgettable season together, they have played 8 matches and won 7. This is an amazing achievement and as said from a teacher from another school “I have never seen an U9 netball team play together with such talent”. The team also attended the annual Kent College tournament, where they were also in demand by winning 6 matches in total out of 8. The girls have demonstrated a positive attitude, and we are so proud of the progression they have all made this term.

In addition, our U11s have attended regular squad practices at lunch times which has resulted in their improvements on and off the court. The squad have worked amazingly well together as a team and have created a positive energy within training sessions and on match days. Over all, the squad have had a successful season together, winning, losing and drawing matches. The girls have learnt that ‘loosing is a way in which we learn.’ Overall they have had a fantastic term together and we hope that our Year 6 leavers will continue to develop and shine with their netball when they move onto their secondary schools.

The netball season concluded with the competitive House Netball event which involved boys & girls in years 3-6. House netball allows every player to represent their house and have a fun afternoon of playing netball. The overall winners for the U9 event was Oak and the U11 winners were Beech.

Finally, a big well done to all the upper school girls this netball season – it has been great to see all the girls enjoying themselves and progressing week after week. I am so proud of all their achievements this term and I am super excited for next years netball season already. A big thank you to all the parents for their support at the home & away fixtures.

Miss Arman 😊
