Another outstanding year for St Faith’s leavers!

As another school year draws to a close, pupils and staff are celebrating another set of outstanding outcomes for the school’s Year 6 leavers.

Of the 41-strong year group, 38 sat the Kent Test and 20 the Dover Grammar Test. 82% were offered selective Grammar School places. In addition, 11 children were awarded and accepted major scholarships in Sport, Academic, Music and Drama at a range of independent senior schools, including the King’s School Canterbury, St Edmund’s, Kent College, St Lawrence and Dover College.

Head Lawrence Groves puts this remarkable set of statistics down to the ethos of the school. It starts with the very youngest children, in the Nursery and Reception, where the focus is on building an enthusiasm for learning that will nourish their educational development as they grow. Small class sizes allowing for lots of individual attention, an outstanding and stable group of teaching staff, and broad opportunities ranging from science and entrepreneurship to sport and music, all combine to create the perfect environment for learning and growth.

Lawrence Groves said, ‘We are absolutely delighted by yet another year of outstanding results. Our aim is to ensure that, whatever direction our children choose for their senior years, St Faith’s Prep gives them all the skills they need for success. They are confident, delightful children, who will make a real contribution wherever they go, and I am enormously proud of them all.’
