Le Château de Warsy – Day 3
We all had a very rude awakening this morning as we were first in to breakfast and had to be rising at 6.45am. Most stated that it was ‘the best night’s sleep ever’, as we were so exhausted after yesterday’s activities. The girls have suffered mosquito bites but for some reason the pesky creatures don’t like the boys. After a very French breakfast of croissants, cereal and juice we were all prepared for our raft building and paddle boarding. Many tried and all failed to dislodge Mr Groves from his paddle board but the temptation was too great when he saw Miss Amin dryly ensconced on her very well made raft and after a brief tussle they both tumbled into the water. Not one child failed to escape the muddy waters and we all retired for a good hot lunch.
After some good old fashioned hot dogs and beef burgers the staff prepared themselves for another dunking in the lake with more kayaking, canoeing and raft building. At the end of the kayaking Mr Groves looked dry and pretty smug until Chloe led an unsuspecting rear guard attack and pushed him in. Now completely out of dry clothes he looked a pretty sorry sight. With the drying room bursting at the seams we all besieged the dining room for minted lamb, Chinese chicken and chicken in cream sauce…what choice! Having been royally fed we are now preparing ourselves for songs around the campfire and then a warm bed!
