We have the highest of expectations for our children. Even so, sometimes they really outdo themselves! This week, the Lego Robotics Team (Team Faith), took part in the annual First Lego League competition at The University of Kent.
Due to some setbacks, the team was not as far along in their solutions to the robotics challenges as we would have hoped, so on Monday we sat down and discussed our next steps. There is no doubt that there was every excuse to pull out of the competition, but is that what the children decided to do? No! Their ‘I Can & I Will’ attitude absolutely shone through. The team of eight rallied and made some excellently thought through last minute changes, listening carefully to their team mates and thinking clearly and logically. During the competition the team were incredibly supportive of each other and did a fantastic job against teams from all over Kent, some of whom had children as old as 16! The positive attitude, willingness to collaborate and support their team members shone through and we had a fantastic day! They made us really proud.
